Dating a sex addict is no easy task, but if there is something you truly like about them and you think this person might be more then just a fuck buddy to you then continue reading. If not then my first piece of advice is jump ship an get the hell out of there. If not, you first have to realize that if you are dating a sex addict then this person has an actual addiction. The same as if they were hooked on drugs, alcohol or gambling. They cant get enough of it and it has taken over control of their entire life, so you need to help cure the addiction instead of enabling it. Im not suggesting you try and cut them off cold turkey, because if they aren't getting it from you, you best believe they are getting it from somewhere else. If you want them to stop, this might sound cliche, but you need t get them to admit they have a problem. If the person isn't interested in your help then unfortunately there is nothing you can do for them, you cant force someone to change. If they are interested in rehabilitation then there are things that can be done. There are groups in every city where fellow addicts meet and talk out there problems in hopes to kick the addict, this certainly isn't a new concept. There are also professionals who deal with this sort of stuff and are always opening to listening and to helping. Now what can you do to help your partner? You can still participate in the act of sex, its not as if they are not gonna have sex the rest of there life. Try and surprise them when they are asleep with some foreplay, try and catch them off guard. Try a few things maybe you wouldn't normally do in hopes it will hold them off for a little while. When it comes down to brass tax though, no one can live there whole life addicted to sex.
