About Me: I'm an easy, empathetic, polite person - musical, artistic, bohemian, spontaneous, earthy, on the chic and gritty side, definitely a romantic. I'm a rock singer/songwriter.I'm looking for someone who likes beer, laughter, the outdoors, listening to loud rock music....So let's make an attempt at the near impossible here. There isn't much that is conventional about me. I meet the nuttiest people and have a boatload of stories with more getting dropped in. I'm a nut. My family is constantly telling me to write it all out. I'm on the road a lot, between the northeast and the west coast. I can't stay put for too long, I just like to be moving. I love books, especially a good piece of history, poems and short stories (majored in History and English). I love sitting in cafes and drinking heaps of coffee (I'm half Cuban, I grew up in Miami until I was 16, my other side is French Canadian) reading and talking for hours.Walks at sunset. Modern art museums. Gogol, Baudelaire, Poe. Long road trips. Beaches. Dylan, Cash, Young. Hilarity. Cemetaries. Reverb. Weed. Mountain trails. "the dude abides...." Craziness.I listen to a lot of different music. I'm music obsessed, it's my main passion. When I discover a new artist that I like a lot, I get into them, listen to all of it. I taught a History ofRock and Roll class in Tucson, AZ to middle school students and had such a blast, I feel honored to have introduced them to Tracy Chapman and Dylan. I've been lucky enough to open for Neko Case and Dave Alvin. I'm lyric driven. I've had a lot of great musical experiences. I'm on the hunt for a publishing deal. I just got a new Fender Telecaster and I'm loving the crunch of this magnificent guitar.
