About Me: I started college at 54 and will finish a Masters degree in 2009 at 59. While scocially graceful, I am a private person and have studied how things work all my life. Besides having been a professional mechanic and then carpenter, in my 20s I studied Yoga and Mediation. In my thirties I studied Astrology, Bodywork, body-center psychology and Tai Chi. In my forties I hiked the southwest mountains, studied Channeling and taught English in Asia. In my Fifties I rebuilt a farm house, took up martial arts, practiced counseling and went to college studying network and information security and management. I have been married a few times and have made at least one life long friend from those endeavors, and have a glorious, independent and loving daughter. I enjoy sex and 10 years ago every day was great. These days a few times a week is satisfying, along with hugs and cuddles throughout the week. I am in good shape, I practice martial arts several times a week, although schooling saw me put on 15 pounds the past few years. I love hiking and building things, but old shoulder injuries and a foot issue limit my building and walking to a mile or so. My shoulder injuries only show up with significant exertion. The injuries are in part what pressed me to go to school. My studies have lead me to be open to the possibilities that the way the world function may well be in the midst of a significant change. I will most likely get much worst before it gets better, understanding self defense and how things are put together is my contribution to a new way of life. Communication, i.e hearing others and helping them hear me, is also area I work at.
