About Me: Let's get the stuff about me out of the way...I used to be a newspaper journalist, I've worked with a journalism training organization and until recently I did quality assurance and documentation with a big media company. Before journalism, I was a tobacco farmer, an electrician, a hardware salesman, a karate instructor and a guitarist/singer/songwriter in a really bad band. When I sit down to write what I really want to write, fiction happens...usually in the form of humor pieces or horror stories (and the occasional naughty tale). If a guitar or a synthesizer happens to nearby...well, it's just another way to write. On the physical side of things, I'm 5'7", bearded and balding (and no bad hairpieces or pathetic comb-overs), somewhat bear-like (and fairly grumpy upon first waking). I share my apartment in Dallas with hundreds of books, magazines and videotapes, a small home recording studio, eight guitars, three synthesizers, a set of drums, a banjo, a mandolin and a penny whistle. But perhaps there's room for one more person.
