About Me: This is the part I hate because we are so much more than words...I am very independent and, as much as I enjoy spending time with my friends/family, I also like my alone time. I love to laugh and think laughter is essential. I try to take it one day at a time - thinking too far into the future takes me out of the present and, I prefer to be in the present. I am very smart and love to learn. I really love to travel, have lived abroad and can't wait to go on my next trip (wherever that may be). I am pretty straight forward, have a great sense of humor (but not able to show that in this description of myself), am honest and have a lot of integrity - and love meeting people who possess these qualities. I have been self employed for about 2 years and, starting my own company has been one of the best things I've ever done. It took me a long time to realize that I shouldn't be working in 'corporate america' and, even though it is not easy (but what is?) and it is financially challenging to start a company, I so much prefer it to waking up every morning and going to a job that I hate.
