About Me: It's been almost a month now, and I still can't believe he's gone. One minute, Allen was walking along the Oregon coastline, and the next he was on a jet plane headed for the beaches of Cancun. But there was nothing anyone could do—he just slipped away. Worst of all, I was offered a ticket and scared to venture out of my norm. For the rest of my life I have to live with the fact that I wasn't there at the very end to look him in the eye one last time and say, "Here we go on another adventure." Just one more minute with him, one more second, is all I want. I just needed one more chance to take Allen’s hand gently in mine and whisper to him, "One more time around the dance floor please." I keep replaying that day over and over in my head, thinking about how it could have gone differently. I feel like such a fool for not rushing to the airport from work the second I heard my ticket was waiting on me!
